A year ago nobody outside a small circle knew who TOMORA was. The name sat on the Coachella lineup in late 2025 with no faces attached while a few of its tracks slipped into Chemical Brothers DJ sets. Only on Dec. 4 did the duo confirm it was Tom Rowlands and the Norwegian singer AURORA. On Friday (Oct 16) the pair released CELEBRATION, a five-track EP on Capitol Records that arrives six months after their debut album, COME CLOSER.

The EP was recorded at RAR Studios in Sussex and is built around its title song, which appears twice. "Celebration" opens the set and returns at the end as the "Ritual Mix," with two new songs, "Hold On Let Go" and "What Do We Got?," sitting between them. The fourth slot goes to the ten-minute "IN A MINUTE (LIVE FROM THE STUDIO VERSION)", a stretched-out take on a COME CLOSER track that had become a fixture of their sets.

The duo framed the title track in four short clauses when the EP was announced in September. "Celebration is a privilege. Celebration is a person. Celebration is a funeral and celebration is a ritual," they said, which goes some way toward explaining why the closing mix of the song carries the word ritual in its name.

Digital listeners got the EP first. The physical edition follows on Nov. 27 on standard black 12-inch vinyl, a marbled vinyl pressing and CD, and the pair have already shown the title track off in a performance for Amazon Music Presents.

TOMORA grew out of a working relationship that predates the name by several years. AURORA sang on three songs from the Chemical Brothers' 2019 album No Geography, including "Eve of Destruction," and Rowlands later worked on her 2024 album What Happened to the Heart? When the duo finally stepped out, they did it with the single "Ring the Alarm" and its B-side "The Thing," then followed with the 12-track COME CLOSER on April 17.

What the EP documents most clearly is a year spent on stages. The duo moved from Coachella to Japan's Fuji Rock and a show at Tokyo's Garden Theatre, and their first UK headline dates came earlier this year in London and Manchester. The long "IN A MINUTE" is the closest thing in the catalog to a record of that touring, a song given room to run the way it does in front of a crowd.

The next leg starts in Dublin on Oct. 24 at the National Stadium. From there the pair head to Glasgow's SWG3 Galvanizers on Oct. 26 and the Roundhouse in London on Oct. 28, a date that is already sold out. The run continues at L'Aéronef in Lille on Oct. 30 and at Amare in The Hague on Oct. 31, also sold out, before closing at UFO in Berlin on Nov. 1.

In March the duo turns to festivals in South America. They are booked for Lollapalooza in Buenos Aires and Santiago, both running March 12 to 14, 2027. The following weekend brings Lollapalooza in São Paulo and Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá, both running March 19 to 21.

Two newly added headline shows come right after. On March 24, 2027, TOMORA plays the Brooklyn Paramount, the duo's first headline date on the East Coast. Two nights later, on March 26, the pair close the announced run at Pabellón Oeste in Mexico City.
