A year after CHINCHILLA spent the U.S. leg of G Flip's 2025 tour opening their shows, the two now share a songwriting credit. "Irrevocably Changed," released today (Oct 15), was written by the London singer with G Flip and Aidan Hogg, and it lands four days before she opens her fall headline run at Pacific Electric in Los Angeles.
The song sits on pleading vocals and warped electronic textures, with airy production pulled against a rock edge underneath. Its subject is the strange split that comes with heartbreak, when one person's life halts while everyone around them keeps commuting, texting and making dinner plans as if nothing happened. A visualizer arrived alongside the track.
CHINCHILLA described that feeling in plain terms when she introduced the single. "You know that feeling when you're going through the worst thing and everything just carries on," she said. "Like your world has totally stopped and you're just watching everyone else live and it's equally soul destroying and comforting. Just the surreal nature of complete heartbreak. Disassociation."
"Irrevocably Changed" is the third look at what follows Ok As I Am, her 2025 EP, after "Dog Eat Dog" and "Viper." The first of those came out in early September through Chinchilla Music, her own imprint, and was co-written with Sara Boe during a Los Angeles session she nearly walked away from. "I walked into the studio feeling so low," she told Billboard Italia. She described meltdowns before writing sessions that had been getting worse by the day, until a collaborator's old banjo idea broke the block open. Both earlier singles were framed as the opening of her debut album era, though no title or release date has been announced.
CHINCHILLA was signed to Sony before leaving the major label system to put out music on her own terms, and the song that changed her trajectory came after that exit. "Little Girl Gone" took off on TikTok in April 2023, climbed to the top of Billboard's Emerging Artists chart and earned an RIAA Gold certification. It later ran over the closing credits of the Netflix series Hostage, and her streaming audience now sits above 3 million monthly listeners.
Live work has carried the rest of the climb. In 2025 she sold out three U.K. headline shows, opened for Justin Timberlake on his European stadium dates in June and then crossed to America to support G Flip, now one of her co-writers on the new single. Her own run, billed in Europe as The Bigger Rooms Tour, was first scheduled for the spring before she pushed every date to the fall. As a result, the Budapest show originally set for March 15 now closes the tour on Nov. 28 at Analog Music Hall. Tickets bought for the original date remain valid.
Heartbreak has been a crowded subject on this season's release calendar, with CHARLS building an entire debut album around it. CHINCHILLA's version is narrower and stranger, fixed on the numb hours when grief has nowhere to go and the rest of the city has not noticed anything at all. She has handled that register before, most directly on "1:5," a single she called the most personal thing she had released, and the new song pushes the same nerve toward something closer to detachment than anger.
The fall itinerary opens with four North American club shows, starting in Los Angeles and moving through Chicago, Brooklyn and Toronto before the European leg begins at La Maroquinerie in Paris in mid-November. Her complete 2026 tour dates are below.
