Carly Rae Jepsen has added another four songs to the day and another four to the night. Released October 9 through Interscope Records, Day and Night (Continued) expands her latest album to 32 tracks, extending both halves of its two-disc structure.
The release continues Jepsen’s tradition of returning to an album with more music, with “Love Depressed” serving as the focus track from the new night selections. Two additions, “Reaching for a Star” and “Yes,” previously appeared on the Japanese edition of the Day and Night CD and are now available globally on digital streaming services.
Those earlier appearances make a useful distinction for listeners keeping up with the different editions: the expansion contains eight additional songs, but two have already been released in Japan. “Reaching for a Star” joins the day disc, while “Yes” takes its place on the night disc.
The four day additions arrive after “Just a Little Walk on the Moon,” beginning with “Reaching for a Star” and continuing through “Sixteen and Rising,” “Wedding Season” and “Lullaby.” On the night side, “Super Sage” now leads into “Yes,” “Muscle Memory,” “Love Depressed” and “In Pure Faith.” Each disc grows from 12 tracks to 16, preserving the album’s equal division.
The additions occupy the final four positions on each disc, giving returning listeners a direct route to the extra material.
A vinyl release of Day and Night (Continued) is also scheduled for Record Store Day Black Friday on November 27. The official release listing identifies an LP containing the eight bonus tracks. Fans planning to buy it can consult Record Store Day and check availability with participating independent retailers ahead of the date.
The expanded album follows the announcement of Jepsen’s 2027 North American headline tour, which Clock Tower Press covered recently. The 26-city run begins April 15 in Edmonton and concludes May 29 in Montreal, with first-time headline appearances at Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum and Red Rocks Amphitheatre along the way.
