Ashley Cooke is trading the baby blues for Christmas lights.

The country singer will release wrapped, her first holiday EP, on November 6 through Big Loud Records and Back Blocks Music. The five-song set combines two new originals with three familiar Christmas standards, giving Cooke a compact holiday project that leans into romance, nostalgia and, in one particularly personal moment, family tradition.

Cooke is introducing the project with its title track, “wrapped,” a softly romantic Christmas song built around the idea of shutting out the rest of the world and spending the holiday snowed in with someone special. She co-wrote the song with Lauren Hungate, Jimmy Robbins, Alysa Vanderheym and Ben Williams.

The chorus turns gift wrapping into the song's central romantic image, with Cooke singing about two people becoming inseparable as Christmas settles in around them. Rather than going for the oversized theatricality that defines plenty of seasonal pop, “wrapped” stays warm and relaxed, with its production centered on sleigh bells, guitar, Dobro and an easygoing groove.

Jacob Durrett, whose credits include work with Morgan Wallen and Cole Swindell, produced the track. The arrangement gives Cooke enough room to keep the performance conversational and tender, allowing the Christmas details to color the song without overwhelming it.

wrapped opens with another new Cooke original, “secret santa,” before moving through her interpretations of “have yourself a merry little christmas,” “jingle bell rock” and “silent night.”

The closing “silent night” carries the EP's most personal detail. Billed as “silent night (with the cooke family),” the recording features several members of Cooke's family joining her on vocals, bringing an actual sense of home into a project otherwise built around familiar holiday imagery.

That family appearance helps distinguish wrapped from the usual seasonal detour. For Cooke, the project arrives during a period when her career has increasingly expanded beyond individual radio singles into a broader catalog and headline touring presence.

Her 2023 debut album, shot in the dark, introduced a singer with a knack for pairing conversational songwriting with polished contemporary country production. Its breakthrough single, “your place,” went on to become Cooke's first No. 1 at country radio, earned GOLD certification and reached the Billboard Hot 100. The video later won Breakthrough Female Video of the Year at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

Cooke has continued building on that foundation with releases including the 2025 project ace, which featured “the hell you are” and fan favorite “baby blues.” She has also collaborated across country and pop, recording “All I Forgot” with Joe Jonas and “Over When We're Sober” with Brantley Gilbert.

That crossover instinct has become part of Cooke's appeal. Her records remain rooted in country songwriting, but the melodies and production regularly leave enough space for listeners who may come to her from mainstream pop rather than traditional country radio. A Christmas release is a natural extension of that approach, especially when the material balances standards that audiences already know with originals designed to fit comfortably alongside them.

The EP also arrives while Cooke is in the middle of the baby blues world tour, her 31-date headline run supporting her self-titled sophomore album. The tour takes its name from “baby blues,” which has grown from a longtime fan favorite into one of the defining songs of her current era.

After its North American dates, the tour is scheduled to head overseas in early 2027, including a January 29 stop at Koko in London. The run currently stretches through February 25, when Cooke is scheduled to perform at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

Three additional dates have also been added to the itinerary: February 11 at Elevation in Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 12 at Varsity Theater in Minneapolis and February 13 at Bogart's in Cincinnati.

Cooke's growing live profile follows years spent touring alongside artists including Luke Bryan, Parker McCollum, Kane Brown and Jon Pardi. Earlier in 2026, she also traveled overseas for C2C: Country to Country, including an appearance at London's O2 Arena.

The singer has been widening her presence outside music as well. In March, she made a cameo on CBS' Marshals, the spinoff connected to the Yellowstone television universe.

For now, though, wrapped gives Cooke a smaller and more intimate canvas. The project does not attempt to reinvent the Christmas record. Instead, its distinction comes from how closely it stays attached to Cooke's own musical identity: romantic songwriting, breezy contemporary country production and a closing performance that quite literally brings her family into the room.

wrapped arrives November 6. Fans can pre-order and pre-save the EP now, while additional tour information is available through Ashley Cooke's official website.
