Swedish production phenoms Galantis stunned a jam-packed Bayfront Park Main Stage audience at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami when they teased a snippet of their new single, “No Money” in the middle of their set, sending fans into a frenzy. Now, “No Money” arrives in full via Big Beat Records.
According to Galantis, “We experimented for quite some time on this one; it was one of those Galantis enigma puzzles where you just have to keep on trying piece by piece to get it right. Started the chord progression in Silver Lake LA, built the body in Sukhumvit Bangkok, and finished it off in the Stockholm archipelago. It feels like the track has a flavor of each place actually. Finally, 12 year old Reece delivered the vocal in perfect manner and we knew we had something we really loved.”
Setting a new standard for songwriting in dance music, Galantis is a collaborative project between Christian Karlsson (aka Bloodshy) and Linus Eklöw (aka Stye of Eye). Embraced early on by influential DJs like Tiesto, Kaskade, and Diplo, and now festival staples, the powerful live act performed a monumental first-ever live performance at Coachella in 2014, and has dominated festival stages ever since. Their debut album “Pharmacy” (2015) is an anthemic, transcendent, 13-track feel good record, written and recorded in Los Angeles and on a tiny archipelago near Stockholm, Sweden. The album also spawned the GRAMMY-nominated, Gold-certified worldwide hit single “Runaway (U & I).”
